Joy is an Assisant Professor of Finance at the Washington and Lee University. Her research field includes empirical asset pricing, monetary policy, and machine learning. Her field paper uses big data and Bayesian estimation to tackle fundamental questions in finance and economics. She also has an abiding passion for applying deep learning in her research. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California-Irvine
