Daniel is a PhD student in Accounting at the UCI Paul Merage School of Business. He received his double degree in Accountancy and Business (Banking and Finance) in 2019 from Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Prior to his doctorate studies, Daniel worked as a deal advisory valuations associate in KPMG (Singapore). He also worked in various roles such as research, sales, investment banking, finance controls and risk.
Daniel is currently focused on his paper around the Made in America Tax Plan. He also has an interest in corporate taxation and avoidance, political lobbying, standard setting and corporate governance.
At UCI, Daniel was voted the MPAC Outstanding Teaching Assistant for 2021. Daniel also served as a teaching assistant for various classes such as advanced managerial accounting, ethics in accounting and business and intermediate accounting.
